Tom Callahan began his career in the music business in 1985 after 8 years as a professional musician.

Callahan has held executive positions with 3 labels from 1986-1992 including Enigma reocrds, I.R.S. Records and Virgin Records.

In 1992, he established Callahan & Associates, a promotion and marketing firm, where he helped launch such artists as Shania Twain, LeAnn Rimes, Bonnie Raitt, Sixpence None the Richer, Goo Goo Dolls, Michael W. Smith, and many more over an eight-year period. Tom was co-founder of Laurel Canyon Entertainment and managed Donnie Kehr ("Tommy" on Broadway), Lisa Mordente (Chita Rivera's daughter), Natalie Archangel and Arnold McCuller.

He also founded Coyote Records, releasing a number of CDs distributed through Alliance Corporation. Coyote's successes include Arnold McCuller, John Waite, Thom Bishop, Fairchild, Suzy K. and the soundtrack to a CBS Movie-of the Week, "Attack of the Killer B Movies."

Callahan co-founded Boulder Entertainment Group (BEG) in 1995. The firm specialized in marketing, consulting, management, and of course radio promotion. Management clients included Phoebe Snow, Arnold McCuller, Suzy K., Paul Ventimiglia and Deborah Franco. Label clients included Capitol Records, Warner Brothers, Virgin Records, Curb Records, Columbia Records, American Gramaphone (Mannheim Steamroller), Sparrow Records, and many other independent labels. As a label consultant, Tom often implemented the placement of promotion and marketing staffs and oversaw entire marketing campaigns. While living in Boulder, Tom also sat on the Board Of Directors of nationally syndicated live radio show E-Town.

In 1997, Callahan negotiated the first ever independent promotion radio group deal, representing Citadel Communications. In 1998 and 1999 he was nominated for "Promotion Person of the Year" by Gavin Magazine.

In 1999 Callahan founded Vellum Entertainment in Los Angeles, where he served as President until the end of 2004. In 2000 R&R magazine nominated Vellum for "Adult Contemporary Label of the Year."

Callahan continues to operate his highly successful music consulting company as well as being the U.S label manager for Swedish record label Pama records and U.S. marketing laison for the New Zealand Music Industry Commission. Callahan is also currently managing the careers of J-henry, 24E, Justin Hopkins, Victoria Hamilton, and MIGGS.
